Serenity Building Design is a residential design practice located in Yeronga, just south of Brisbane’s CBD.

Whilst residential (class 1) is our focus, particularly Queenslanders and post war weatherboard homes, we do like to diversify and subsequently welcome classes 2-9 buildings under 2,000 square meters.

If you are looking for a design practice that can project manage the nuisances of design, coordinate consultants, have a demonstrated understanding of the DA process with referrals including council development applications and building approvals and navigating the intricate web of government regulations then we are the team for you. We are a building design practice that thrives on challenges and striving to continuously better our craft.

We utilise Autodesk REVIT, which is considered amongst the best architectural software aimed at providing 3D models, which can be cut in any X, Y and Z plane or turn anything within the model to on/off to showcase specific design considerations, floors or materials to name a few. Moreover, the 3D design can also be forwarded to clients with no licencing or software requirements, either in the Existing, Demolition or Proposed phase.

Favoured by many, our approach is to start with a site meeting and a no-obligation conversation. We do charge for the initial site consultation, as there are certain aspects of pre-investigation we feel are necessary to talk about other than your scope. These are issues that the client ought to be aware about their own property, and may include items like encumbrances (i.e. zoning, easements, below the ground infrastructure, overlays, code compliance, and so on).

To get the conversation moving, please refer to the FAQ in the “ABOUT” drop down menu to get you started.

To streamline the workflow we have established relationships with trusted consultants, including builders with whom we work closely. This allows us to maintain smooth operations and adhere to agreed-upon timeframes. We prioritize partnering with local professionals whenever possible to keep overheads down and embrace a sense of community. We are committed to taking on projects of any size and complexity, whether they involve flood-affected areas, limited space, difficult terrain, battle-axe block or whether you have a tight budget. We thrive on collaboration, open dialogue and aim to work towards your scope and budget.

Our main focus is establishing a strong rapport with our clients, explaining our preferred approach, and hitting the ground running once engaged. We believe in transparency and keeping our clients well-informed throughout the entire project. Our project design stages ensure you have control to allow you to maintain the program, with the flexibility to pause or cancel at key milestones should your circumstances change.

We take pride in our ability to be innovative and we are dedicated to excellence and continuously seek to expand our knowledge and embrace new ideas. It is this design ethos that sets us apart from others in the industry.
